Clear a slow drain.

When you notice your drain is starting to clog, pour a 1/2 cup of baking soda down it, followed by a 1/2 cup of vinegar. Cover with a wet cloth to contain the science fair-like effects. Wait five minutes and then flush with hot water.

Make a mirror gleam.

Since coffee filters are lint-free, you can swap them out for paper towels to give mirrors a no-streak shine.

Remove coffee stains from mugs.

When your favorite ceramic cup contains a stubborn unsightly ring, squirt a little dish soap in it and add some baking soda for additional abrasion, then clean as usual. Or you can use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to wipe off marks.

How to clean pans with baking soda and vinegar?

The steps include filing up the pan with water and adding a cup of vinegar, then bringing it to a boil. Then add two tablespoons of baking soda. Let it sit for a few minutes, then empty the pan. The burned residue should be soft enough to remove with the scourer.

If there are stubborn marks left, make a paste with equal parts baking soda and water, then apply it on the dots. You can use this paste on the outer part of the utensil if there are burn marks that need cleaning.

Remove Stains From Coffee Mugs Or Carafes

Coffee drinkers can relate to this. Over time coffee stains will build upon mugs and carafes, and no matter how much you scrub with dishwashing detergent, it won’t come off.

If you’re frustrated, why not try to sprinkle some baking soda at the bottom of the mug or carafe, then add a bit of hot water then scrub 

Make a glass cleaner with vinegar.

Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar with 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol (70% concentration) and 2 cups water and dispense into an empty spray bottle. To clean your windows, wait for a cool, cloudy day and squirt the solution onto the glass, wiping with a clean microfiber cloth to avoid streaking.

Make your white shirts bright again.

To keep your whites truly white, sponge white vinegar on sweat stains and then pretreat with an enzyme prewash stain remover like Carbona or liquid enzyme detergent like Tide. Then wash on the hottest cycle safe for the fabric, adding regular Clorox Bleach for especially stubborn marks.

Homemade Daily Shower Cleaner

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Hydrogen Peroxide

1/2 cup Rubbing Alcohol

1 teaspoon Liquid Dish Soap

1 tablespoon Dishwasher Rinse Aid

3 cups Water

Directions:

Begin by pouring the hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, liquid dish soap, and the dishwasher rinse aid into a spray bottle of at least a 32 oz size. A funnel is very helpful for this step.

Next, slowly add the 3 cups of water (the mixture might bubble a little bit because of the dish soap). If you are re-using a 32 oz bottle from a store bought daily shower cleaner spray, you really don't even need to measure for this step . . . simply top off the bottle with water.

Put the top back on the spray bottle and then slowly tip the bottle back and forth to mix the ingredients.

To use: After showering, mist the spray on the walls of the shower and you're done. There's no need to wipe.

Cleaning on a Dime

Glass Cleaner-
* 1 part Vinegar
* 1 part Water

Stain Remover-
* 1 cup of peroxide
* 1/2 cup of dish soap

All Purpose Cleaner-
* 1 drop of Dawn dish soap 
* water
* Lavender essential oils or you may use the scent of your choice. 
(Solution should not be sudsy) 

Disenfectant-
* 1 part Alcohol or Vinegar ( 65% or above) 
* 1 part Water
* Lemon essential oil or you may use the scent of your choice. 

Tub and Tile cleaner/ Degresser-
* 1 cup of Vinegar
* 1 cup of Dish soap

Homemade Laundry Soap

1 Box of Borax

1 Box of Washing Soda

1 Container of Purex Crystals

3 Bars of Ivory Soap (grated)

Mix well with wooden spoon.

2 Tablespoons per load
